X-ray computed tomography (CT) has been proven in industry as exeptionally powerful testing method. Standardization activities concentrate up today on single system components or special application conditions. Users in the automotive industry built up a common working group from experts of the German Automotive Association (VDA) and the German NDT Society (DGZfP) and developed this guideline for the use of X-ray CT in industry. This version is the translation of the first revised German version of May 2019 and was revised together by members of VDA-AK ZfP, project group CT, and DGZfP UA CT, AG D6. The purpose of this guidline is to descibe the current technical status of CT considering especially the industrial conditions. Industrial users should use this guidline as code for best practice in everyday life.
